It was quite a nice day, even if there was a chill to the air. It didn't seem to bother her at all though goose-pimples had risen to her exposed legs and upper-arms. Either way, the chill was kept from settling into her bones by her brisk movements. Taizer was currently .. well, it wasn't exactly clear - what - she was doing. She seemed to be exercising, or.. to some extent; walking briskly beside the lake's bank a small mound of fur almost looking as though it was being kicked along ahead of her. That ball of fur was of course, Mouse, and he wasn't so much as being kicked, but chased.
"You get your skinny little butt back here now!" she growled, trying desperately to snatch a page of crumpled paper from the squirrels mouth. Mouse obviously knew that whatever was scrawled upon the paper, was enough to get his mistress' running and saw this as quite fun. It wasn't very often that he managed to get Taizer to play. "I'm warning you Mouse. You'll be going in that lake if you don't give it me back right now!" She didn't seem at all out of breath and the squirrel had, had her running for at least ten minutes now. She was just glad that he'd not decided to climb a tree. Whatever was on that paper it seemed she'd give her life to protect; Mouse obviously didn't know as such.. not being able to read and all.
"Mouse!?" She growled, launching herself at him but coming short; face now in the dirt and skirt all Askew; showing off, to her dismay, white panties. "GAH!" Hurrying to re-right her skirt she scrambled back up to her feet, eyes scanning the way ahead to spot where the little ball of mischief had gotten to.. her face dropped as she saw him running quite close to a few scattered people.
"He's killing me here..."

Irrell sighed as he yawned, relaxing by the lake side. Three balls of fluff lay curled up on his chest. One black, one tabby colored, and teh other a mixture of black, white, and brown, all cats. He yawned again, nothing seemed to be getting his attention at the moment.
Hearing shouts not far away he turned his attention to the girl and the.....squirrel? Confused beyound all belief he sat up, two of the three cats hissing as they fell form his chest. Kaku, the tabby, grolwed as he sprang back to his paws, glaring at his owner before moving to the lake waters, going far enough to not get his paws wet.
The Genin stood up fully now, stretching and glancing at his cats before moving off towards the girl who had now just fell. "Need help?" he asked with a smile, indicating to the squrreil who had disappeared in the small crowd. "Looks like you could."

She heard the commotion going on near where she was relaxing, but the girl, sitting with her black clad knees hugged close to her chest. The mist surrounded her form, causing a quite involuntary shiver to rumble forth from her otherwise unmoving form. She seemed to be alone as she sat there, staring off towards the mist suspended lake, those bright blue orbs of hers never wavering from moving straight ahead.
Almost extra-ordinary senses had caught the appearance of the girl, her squirrel, the boy and his three cats. She didn't move her gaze from the lake, even if the presence of the animals brought a small grin to her otherwise immobile visage. Finally uttering and semblance of sound, Otani let out a deep sigh and rested her chin down upon her uplifted knees, not moving her gaze, even when a rather large wolf padded from behind her, his maw bloodied from a recent meal.
The slight, coppery scent of blood touched the girl's nose and a soft smile finally alight her frightfully pale face, turning that blue gaze, finally towards the wolf which opened it's maw in a massive yawn before flopping down at her side, engorged stomach rising and falling as he relaxed near her. Otani grinned and reached out a unfearful hand to stroke the wolf's smooth side, his fur, unlike that of most of his brethren, silky smooth instead of coarse and dense. Sure, it wouldn't make the best protection in case of a battle, but the wolf's intelligence far surpassed any defenses that he lacked.
She looked as if she were about to speak, but no words left her open mouth before the canine glanced to the side, bright greed eyes opened wide as he stared in the direction of the commotion that she had noticed earlier. The wolf quite perplexed Otani. While he was as affectionate and fierce as a canine, he often expressed qualities that were quite feline, including his human like intelligence, and a seemingly never ending curiosity. This time, it was the scent of feline and rodent alike that brought him forth from his restful digestion to rise up fluidly onto silvery paws to pad forth slowly, gray nose working wildly as he padded forward.
Normally, Otani wouldn't accompany her companion, but there was something different about this. Gracefully lifting up onto her feet, she caught up with the wolf and rested a hand upon his silky head. Both paused as the pair came into view. The girl didn't let any sound escape her mouth, she just stood there, great blue gaze silently watching the others. The wolf seemed to take it into his paws to let it be known that the pair was present and opened his maw to let forth a low but loud whuff, not bothering to move forward at all.

Fantastic! Now she had an audience.
"I'm going to stuff you when I catch you!" She growled, just able to see his small, brown body winding it's way through the small crowd. One would assume her a girl by her clothing and petite frame. However when she turned her gaze upon Irell, it could be seen that she was in fact, closer to being in her early twenties.
"Touch whatever the squirrel has and you'd wished I'd stuffed you!" She growled; in an odd way, accepting her help. "If you think you can catch him, then go ahead." Taizer was quite sure that if she left the squirrel to his own devices for a while, then he'd eventually bore and return to her. With the paper though was another matter and she was quite sure that she didn't wish to lose said note.
"There'll be a bowl of ramen in it if you can get the paper though." Would a small act of kindness be enough to make up for her snappy attitude?
Whether Irell went after Mouse or no, she didn't seem to notice as her gaze slowly averted to a new stranger. A female in the company of a wolf? Sure, she'd seen a few odd pets in her time, this didn't really shock her. The past-jounin sighed deeply, holding her hands on her hips in a haughty fashion.
"Nice, wolf." She mumbled matter-o'-factly, dismissing the canine with a wave of her hand. "Bowl of ramen for you too if you can catch the squirrel."

Irrell smiled. "A bowl of ramen for catching the squirrel? That works perfectly for me." He didn't ask her bout the paper. Obviously she didn't want to talk about it or it had something very important written on it. His eyes moved to the wolf and it's owner, eyeing the large canine cautiously.
The Genin turned from Taizer and faced the direction the squirrel had darted off in. Kaku meowed from his spot under two very playful kittens. Irrell turned his attnteion to them for a split second before going back to Mouse.
"Here Mouse. Come here Mouse." Irrell was a big animal person now matter what size. Weather the creature would come to him was another thing. Hey, either way he would get the squirrel and the ramen, even if he had to sick one or all of his cats on Mouse.
