A tiny reptilian face peeked into every building that lined the road, slitted green eyes, a brilliant contrast on the golds, creams, blacks, and reds of its body, shining with curiousity. Its frill went up every so often, engulfing its head. He finally made a loud creeing sound, and shot inside a building, a private home, and snatched something small and gold up, racing back outside where a woman was jumping with excitement.
"YAAAAY! You got one? Lemme see, lemme see!!!!" Ata crawled up on to Itou's hand, frill out and creening with happiness as Itou seemed at her happiest. He dropped what he was holding, which happened to be a.... bean. "YATTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Itou jumped up and down some more, happily putting the bean in a small belt pouch, along with a huge collection of similar beans.
Ata creened again, frill still up, and rose onto his hind legs, jumping from foot to foot like his master was doing. They made an odd pair, a 21-year-old jounin, and a small desert sand-lizard, dancing with happiness in the street at the fact they had obtained a bean.
Itou finally stopped, and hugged Ata. "Food food time! Yaaaaay!" The lizard cree'ed again, mouth open in a happy grin. Itou raced off down the street, Ata perched on her shoulder, and entered the shopping area, glancing around at the food shops. "AHOY!" A few heads turned at the loud yell, and many had to jump back as the woman went rocketing across the street to the small cart at the other side, selling a wide assortment of insects and pets. She purchased a few crickets, and handed the small book to Ata, who grabbed it with his almost hand-like claws and began munching away. Itou glanced around, and sighed. Scratching her head, she began to talk to herself, "Well... I know I was made a teacher now.... But who am I to teach? I wonder, I wonder.... Lalala, Genin, oh Genin of mine! Where can you beeeee?"

A young man slowly woke up to the sound of clinking metal. The brown haired boy slowly rose from his sleep and walked over to see a small white cat hitting it's kunai against a pan. The boy sometimes wondered why he even gave his cat that necklace. The cat's light blue eyes shifted to her partner as she happily meowed. The boy smiled as he walked away to get ready. This was his first day as a true genin. He was now part of a team and would learn lots about being a shinobi. The boy got dressed and tied a bandanna around his head, the crest of Suna embedded into a golden colored metal. He also tied a cloth around his waist and tied a small bag on it. This bag held all his weapons, for he had many smaller ones. He grabbed his orange lensed goggles put them around his neck.
"Eeeeee... time now, it is!" He said happily to himself.
Hamano Riku, as he was named, wished his brother was there. His brother was a great shinobi but gave it up to care for his young brother after their parents died while on a mission. But his brother was out of town for a little while, but would return soon. Riku looked to his cat as he walked over to him. The crest of Suna was tattooed on both shoulders. Matoko meowed happily and rubbed his partners leg slightly. Riku laughed slightly and picked up his ivory feline. Riku went no where without his small partner and today was no exception. Riku smiled and walked outside his home and felt the sand under wrapped feet. A nice warmth he loved about his deserty home.
"Time to be off Koto!" Riku mentioned happily.
He was off to meet his teacher and his team mates. He was supposed to meet this 'Itou Shite'. A female teacher he heard. He smirked to himself slightly, but he hoped she wouldn't be a strict, serious, fun ruiner of a teacher. Riku walked through the town when Makoto leapt from his arms and walked by Riku's side. Makoto was on the prowl. Then something caught his eyes, a little shop cart with a shiny little bead necklace hanging at the side. Koto's ears went back as he stalked toward the cart. He snuck up to it and bit the string holding them together. he grabbed the now fallen necklace and bolted with fast reflexes toward his partner. Riku looked down at Koto and his eye grew wide. I-it was so shiny. Riku snatched the beads from Koto and stared at them. He smiled and slipped them away into his little side bag with his weapons.
"Great job Makoto!" He yelled to his cat happily.
Makoto always stole things, but would get little shiny stuff for Riku. Riku loved this and had a little collection of shiny things. Soon Riku came upon Itou and heard her talk about genins. Riku paused and walked over to her and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Hallo! Are you Itou Shite? I hope you are! PLEASE SAY YES!" Riku asked happily.

A young boy stumbled onto the scene with a bored expression. He looked toward a adult woman and a boy about his age. The screaming and yelling and happy statements poisoned his mind with cheery things. He closed his eyes and sighed. Hopefully that wasn’t his teacher and fellow team mate. He was supposed to be meeting Itou Shite. He had no idea who his teammates were, nonetheless whether they were male or female. But, the boy wouldn’t say anything much. He hated answering questions. Especially those that were annoying, pointless, and just plain stupid. Questions are not worth talking about, nor asking. You will only get somewhere in life if you think about them thoroughly, and find out the answers yourself. If there would be any “meeting” and that “tell about yourself” crap-talk. They’d only find out his name. Nothing more would be said unless needed by him.
He walked up to the over-excited woman and boy with a slight nervousness. These people could probably give him trouble, and all he had was his basic techniques tattooed into his mind to keep himself safe. And some basic shinobi equipment, of course. He stared at them with his maroon eyes, half closed. His expression was telling them, “Please tell me I never have to see you again.” Sure, he has seen many people during his life, but has he ever actually met them? Learn their names, their thoughts, ambitions? Most of the time, no. He didn’t. So, why would he have to talk to these two like he was some kind of toddler lost in the village looking for his parents? You do the math.
He was still out of sight, sitting in a nearby tree carefully hidden in the shadows. Kunai in hand in case they sensed him and decided to take action against him. He watched them like a hawk: noting everything they said, observed all their actions, predicted their personalities. Only thing left to do was wait. See if these people really are his sensei and teammate, or see if they notice him at all with those huge eyes full of happiness.
He noticed they both had animals with them. One a lizard, possibly. He couldn’t tell for sure. And the other, a cat. Animals are such a burden, I don’t need to waste my time with these fools. Where the hell is my sensei? She’s supposed to be here… Who were these people?

Itou leaned back as someone tapped her shoulder, ending up in a position where she saw him upside down. Her eyes lit up, and she nodded happily. "Yes, yes! I'm Itou! Hi!" She suddenly jumped, spinning around so that she faced him. With a happy grin she leaned over slightly, tapping her chin with a finger. "And I'm guessing you're one of my little genin, hmm? So nice to meet y- OH! Kitty!" She suddenly grabbed the cat, holding him with one arm and petting him happily with the other.
Ata glanced over her shoulder, his green eyes sparkling with curiousity. His box of insects now empty, he flung the box away, and scurried to Itou's other shoulder, building up momentum... and leaped. His frill instantly went up, and he practially drifted over to Riku, landing on the boy's shoulder. His head turned to the side as he crawled onto the boy's chest, head going up to look the boy in the eyes. "Creee?"
Itou grinned. "So, what's your name, huh? And you, too!" She smiled at the tree. "Yes, I know you're there. Come on out. I dun bite." Her eyes lit up mischiviously. "Well, that is, if you call me Shite. Call me Shite, and I'll kill you." Her face had gone deathly serious, then instantly she was smiling and giggling again.
Hmm... I have two of them... where's the third? And this is so unfair... they all know my name, but I wasn't told theirs! Wait... I was, wasn't I? Whee... I remember that... hee, that's when I had figured out that nifty jumping bean trick... heehee... wait... what was I saying? Oh well.

Amaya forgot when she was supposed to go out today, and find her sensei and teammates. Yes, she could be a forgetful person if you gave her a shot. Apparently, they had given her a really good shot because she completely forgot. There wasn't even the tiniest bit of memory, not even what one of the numbers was. So, Amaya just decided to go when she felt like it. Very boredly, she shuffled around town because as it turns out, she'd forgotten where to meet them too. Aiie, today was certainly not the mauveish-haired girl's day. Amaya tossed a throwning needle into the air, catching it with two fingers and shooting it back up again as soon as she had the barest grip on it. She had been doing this particular excersize for a while, and she quite liked it as it helped her precision and gripping and quick movements. However, for a while she'd been wanting teammates to help her train. Lucky for her she had passed, and now she could get what she had been hoping for. Amaya caught the needle a last time and flicked her wrist, sending it flying into a fence, almost hitting a shopper. Amaya quickly hid behind somebody else and picked up her pace.
Her amber eyes scanned around again, and found two figures in the distance where the main part of the village dissolved, per se, into forest and training areas. Her pace started to slow. She was far away from the almost-stabbed-with-Amaya's-needle shopper anyway, there was nothing to worry about, even though Amaya hadn't been worrying to start with. The girl lazily scanned over the figures as she came closer and closer to them. Obviously, they were a jounin and a genin and a cat and a lizard. Both of the humans appeared to be pretty wired on something. Something... like an unethical form of crack? Nah. Let's not doubt them at first. Amaya was generally quiet at first and disliked it when people though she was boring. Boring people she detested, why would she be one? Actually, Amaya was quite like her sensei though she just didn't know it. Very much like her... minus the insanity. Amaya was just a fun-loving, loud risk taker. Not necessarily whacked.
Closer and closer she came, finally stopping about three feet from them. She had no clue of the third teammate in the trees, because she hadn't cared enough to see the jounin calling to him. Amaya blinked once, raising an eyebrow. This was her team. Or, actually, two-thirds of her team. Where was that other guy? Or girl. It wasn't like Amaya knew anything, considering she didn't know the place nor time. She was still trying to figure out if these were the right people. How she would feel like a fool if they weren't the right ones!
"Er..." She began, and cut to the chase. Amaya was a fairly blunt person before she warmed up to others. "Hi. Anyway. Are you... " oh god. Not memory relapse. Not now! "Itou... Shite?"
