He couldn't take it. Just standing here was ticking the Genin off. Takumi was close to screaming at teh clouds overhead. He had been stnading here for well voer ten minutes waiting for something exciting to happen. Of course, nothing exciting ever happened in the Training Grounds, well excpet for the new Genin and their sensei. A large brown, gray, and black mutt lay next to his owner, head on his paws as he stared at the fuming face of Takumi.
With a sigh he realized that just standing here wasn't going to help. The Genin started pacing. Yes. Pacing helped. Not much, but it did. He ran the possibilities through his mind. Run around screaming head off. No. Chase large massive dog. No. Scream at top of lungs and hope someone came. Maybe. Just sit here and act like you see something interesting in the sky. Most likely.
Takumi manuvered himself past all the equipment he had laing about and towards the dog, sitting by his side and letting his arm rest on the dog's back. He groaned out of sheer bordom.

High in the air, a dark figure passed overhead, its shadow glided over the boy and dog. The hawks eyes zero-ed in on the two, a message in its talons, the hawk swept low to the ground and landed in the branches of a small tree. The hawk screeched to draw the young Genin's attention.
Kuromoto Kaida sat patiently as she watched her beautiful red-tailed hawk, Akira, soar high above her to deliver her message. The message was random as usually, this one read 'If you seek something out, you should follow it..." Perched happily on a tree branch high above the ground, she could see anyone coming within a mile. Now she just had to wait for her friend's return...

Takumi yawned as the bird flew over head. He lifted his head to stare at the hawk and followed it's movements to the tree. Waving his hand in a I'll-be-right-there motion, he grabbed the bag and a thick leather collar that was palced around the dog's neck. He lifted himself up and took his time going to the tree, the dog following him all the way.
"What now?" he asked in a bored tone as he reached the hawk. His eyes landed on the letter. Who would write him? As far as he knew he didn't know anyone. Takumi was more of the lone wolf tyoe, never one to depend on anyone but himself and his dog. He took the note from the hawk and opened it, eyes quickly scanning across the letters. "Great. Now I'm bored and have a code to desypher!" today was not one of his better days. He knew what it ment, well most of it at least. The "You should follow it" part confused him more than the dumb bird.

Marise's patience was quickly drying out as she waited for Akira's arrival. She hoped he hadn't gotten himself into any trouble. Standing up, she surveyed the area around her.
The hawk was growing impatient with the boy, he wanted to get back to Marise but he knew he would have to bring this boy also, no matter how dim-witted he was. Marise was probably so bored and concerned right now that she would go off looking for him. The hawk screeched and flew to another tree, turned towards the boy and screeched again, attempting to make the boy follow him.

"Alright! Alright!" he growled following the bird. "Just quit with the screeching. God, it's as bad as fingernails down a blackboard!" The dog agreed by flattening his ears to his head and wrinkling his nose slightly. But yet, without another thought both followed the hawk. Mostly out of curiousity if anything. "Damn bird," he muttered patting his mutt's head.

The hawk committed the comment to memory as he flew a bit, guiding the two towards the tree in which Marise stood. Akira landed onto Marise's arm, small screeches emitted from its throat. Marise watched as the boy and the canine followed behind, they were going at a painfully slow pace. She stayed in the tree stroking Akira's feathers when they finally came under he tree.
"I see you followed Akira, Genin. Now why did you make such a rude remark about my friend?" She spoke to him from the tree's branch, a hint of annoyance that he had dared make rude comments about her friend.

Takumi stopped when the bird did, staring at the tree in which it landed in. His dog began growling, ears flat against his skull and lips drawn back in a snarl. "Oh, so that turkey belongs to you?" he asked with a smirk. "I just thougth it got loose from the circus."
He yawned. "I take it you wrote the note the bird delivered. Care to explain why?" He didn't like just random things. It could lead to a fight at times or a friendship and he wasn't one to have any friends. Takumi rested his hand on his dog's head.

Akira screeched his disapproval of the boy and Marise immediately when to his defense.
"Akira is a red-tailed hawk! Not a turkey! And he's much more intelligent than you will ever be! As for the note, it was just to relieve my boredom so I could be asking you if there are any applications for the ninja school in this region." Her anger subsided for the time being, at least until he made some other comment that angered her.

"Yeah yeah. Turkey, Hawk. Same thing to me." bordom was one thing he was chalk full of at the moment. "And what is the last part of your speach supposed to mean?" This girl just wasn't making any scense to him. His dog sat down, black, brown, and cream colored tail thumping against the ground slightly.

Akira leaned over, eyes staring straight at the boy. Marise noted her friend's desire to poke his eyes out.
"It meant follow the hawk, if you were smart you would have realized that little detail, now answer my question before I let Akira have his way with you." She gleamed at Takumi without so much as a smile.

"Whatever." Takumi was temped to just leave her there and leave to go back to where he had stated. "I guess so. Not completely sure. Have to Ask a Counin or Jounin about that." His dog galred at the Hawk, lips drawn back in a silent snarl.

Marise's head tilted upwards toward the sky, her eyes darkened with past memories. She turned her head towards the village.
"Thanks for your help Gunin. Akira, I'll meet you there afterwards." Akira lifted off of her arm and swooped down towards Takumi, screeching and clawing the air with his sharp talons. After a few seconds the hawk stopped and flew off towards the village where his companion had already left. Even though Akira hadn't laid a talon on Takumi, he was satisfied that he had scared him for a bit.
