(( Calling the patient Genin! -bows with aplogees- Sorry it's taken me a while to get the ball rolling >.o ))
A rare patch of sunlight spilt across the opening plain of training grounds within the Cloud Village's valley. The golden rays caught on the equally golden hair of a young woman, currently lounging against a tree in the rare warmth. The Lightning Jounin had only returned from her travels to lands as far away as the Sand village but yesterday, and was a little disappointed at her lack of preparation for this day.
Today she would meet three hopefuls. Cloud Team One. It was rather exciting. She had only done Academy work with the younger students so far, and had recently been assigned the older and newly graduated Genins. The naturally cheerful woman pushed away from the tree with a grin of anticipation. Soon she would have three students under her wing like Reiji did, and they would be fantastic. She would teach them everything she knew and help them to be the best they could be.
She stood on the swell of the tallest grassy hill in the training grounds, hands clasped behind her back and bright blue eyes flicking about in many directions for the first signs of the children. They would be arriving any moment now; Yumi hoped they would be punctual. She didn't want to have to growl at any of them on their first day.

Takumi yawned as he made his way across the training grounds. His large mutt dog trailing at his heels, no expression on either of their faces. the genin had been waiting for this day for who knows how long. Ever since graduating he had wondered when he would meet his Jounin sensei.
His dog growled lowly, ears flicking back to pinn themselves against his skull. The dog lowered his head and glared up at the hill where Yumi was perched. Takumi's gaze followed his dog's to the jounin. A small sign escaped his lips as he noticed she was lookign for someone. Probsbly me and the other Genin he thought to himself.
Resting a hand on the dog's scruff he set off at a steady pace towards her, a small glare directed at Yumi for being so late. He stopped a few feet from her, waiting for what ever was to come next. His dog took a seat next to his side, ears flicking around like mad.

(((~ Sorry for being late! I forgot to check! I'm sorry. ^^; ~)))
High up in one of the large trees that splotched and dotted the landscape, a form half slept amongst the foliage and branches, watching the grey, melancholy clouds amble by listlessly, like half baked ideas. There was a shudder and the wind passed volently through the tree, shaking the branch that she was nearly resting on. No matter. She would stay untill she felt she need not.
Somthing flickered in the back of her head and, quizically she searched her thoughts to find the source of the disturbance. With eyes closed the thought, remembered, and imagined. Ah yes... thats why I'm here... she thought to herself. Training... I had nearly forgotten... And indeed she had. Daydreaming had a tendancy to do that to her. She got so wrapped up in fantasy, that reality slipped by and away. unnoticed. But, now that she was back and quite completely awake, she was ready to fulfill her requirements.
Having taken the time to rest as she waited, she pondered all the possible outcomes for today and all things that would definetly not happen today. She found most of these thoughts not senarios she wished to partake in, but it wasn't like she had much of a choice either way. She did what she did. Others do what they do. Thats life. Thats death.
Tsuru jumped quietly from branch to branch, making sure not to rusle the leaves or desturb the other inhabitants of the large tree. Landing on the ground with a whisper of air, she padded off to find her teacher. Tsuru's tree was on the outskirts of the grounds, so searching might have taken a while, but, fortunatly for her, the teacher was not too hard to find. The tallest hills are usually the most noticeable, after all.
The wind waved through the grass. The grass waved back. Tsuru trotted on her way, noticing both and taking in her surroundings as she went. With a shrill cry, her osprey took off and followed. That was his job.
Today was going to be very interesting. Her golden eyes were bright with imaginings of new experiences.

A rush of wind shook a tree as Tayrin skipped by, barely noticing things around her. All she noticed was the lush green grass, the tall funny trees, her sister, and the teacher on the tall hill.
She skipped even faster now. Finally she caught up with her sister and slowed down. She stopped skipping and instead walked toward the teacher alongside her sister.
Her enthusiasm grew as she walked, and her winter wren, Saiki, slowly landed on her shoulder, tweeting happily.

(( Sorry for my lateness guys! I'm a slack cow ^_^; ))
Blue eyes snapped to the approaching footsteps of a young boy walking toward her, turning to her side to face him. Before Yumi could take a breath to welcome him, to other girls were noticed immediately, their features similar and so Yumi assumed they were sisters...or twins? The Raikage had not told her about the Genin she would be taking on, only that they were the youngest of the Genin graduating. She had spent the last couple of years teaching Academy students successfully, so it made sense to assign her the younger students.
"Welcome," she stated simply with a warm smile and making eye contact with each of them before lowering herself to sit crosslegged on the large swell of land with the grace of a Jounin, "Come and sit with me." She motioned with her hand, taking in the new students appearance once again. It seemed she'd been assigned a zoo aswell, and she cast an amused sparkle of the eye toward each Genin's pet and companion.
"I do not doubt that you may be nervous or perhaps excited?" she clasped her hands together in her lap as she spoke and waited for children to sit before her, "I am going to be your Sensei. Iino Yumi; but Sensei Yumi will suit me fine thankyou. So please, tell me your names. I am anxious to meet you."

Takumi rolled his eyes at his Sensei's motions and words. As he was directed to sit he continued to stand for a few more seconds, debating weather or not to follow or turn and leave right now. But the thrill of missions got the better of him. He moved a few feet closer before crossing his legs and sitting down, his dog comming to sit by his side, ears perked, eyes focused in front of him like a military officer waiting for orders.
As the other question was asked he just stared at Yumi. Their name? Okay, usual question when first meeting someone. He sat there, casting a glance at the two girls. They could speak first for all he cared. Takumi wasn't one to talk when instructed too, but he would if found totally neccisary.

Tsuru waded her way through the tall waving grasses infront of her and made her way to the top of the hill, not giving much notice to her sister, but still knowing she was there.
She bowed to her teacher faintly and took in the words she spoke as if they were air. She needed to know as much as she could. That was her way of doing things and her way of understanding things. Information was nearly essential.
Tsuru took a seat on the moving grass and put herself into a comfortable position. She faintly smiled in return, interested, curious, and slightly excited. All this was nessisary. All this was needed. Her golden orbs met with her teachers in a quiet flash, like lightning. Feeling that the other student was not inclined to speak first, she took the initiative, which was unusual for her.
Hesitantly she spoke, her voice rang like a breeze of windchimes. "I am Tsuru, Shorai Tsuru. My twin is also in your group, I think." She turned to watch her sister with her winter wren.
Tsuru's own companion sank lower into the air and seated himself next to his charge. "This is Tsai, my osprey."
She hoped that was sufficient. It was all she asked, she thought.
Sitting and watching, She pondering some more and waited for her sister.

Tayrin walked happily toward the tall hill. She walked a bit faster, and, upon reaching the hill, she bowed to her Sensei. Her sister was already sitting on the soft grass, so Tay sat quickly next to her.
She sat cross legged with her hands in her lap. Her hair gently waved in the wind. Tayrin grew increasingly excited and gleeful.
She assumed it was her turn to speak since her sister had already and the other Genin didn't seem to want to.
Her voice was a lot more cheerful than her sister's and not a bit hesitant. "Hello. My name is Shorai Tayrin."
Tayrin motioned slightly toward her bird and spoke again. "This is Saiki, my winter wren."
Since that's about the equivalent of what her sister had said, Tayrin just smiled at her Sensei happily and waited.
Her silver eyes sparkled with alertness as she thought about random stuff and watched an orange caterpillar crawl up a blade of grass.

Blue eyes were sharp and analytical as the she observed the three students before her. The young man made her frown slightly at his attitude. He needed to lose that soon; she didn't want to have any negative vibes floating about. But he was here was he not? He must have some enthusiasm for learning the ways of a ninja, otherwise he wouldn't be here. Yumi thought may have to ask him his reasons for following this path another time, after he got to know her and trust her as a Sensei and Jounin.
Yumi smiled warmly toward the twins as they spoke, both identical yet different at the same time. Tsuru with her golden eyes, and Tayrin with her silver; these two already had the deep bonds of sisterhood. They seemed to both have difficulty concentrating, but in different ways. Tsuru had a dreamers gaze and Tayrin just seemed to be distracted by all the happenings of the world around her. She hoped her other student would not be excluded somehow. She still didn't know that boy's name. "Pleased to meet you both," she made a small bow of her head before turning her eyes to the male student, "And your name please my dear?"

His eyes moved to each twin as they spoke, deciding to at least know his teammate's names. He snorted slightly at being called 'dear' by someone but answered none the less. "Takumi." Short and sweet. Just how he liked it. The dog by his side didn't even make a move to be included. It was normal.

"Takumi," she nodded at him politely. Well, it was a start. Yumi wasn't impressed with the boy's attitude but she smiled on never the less. "Well let's get the shurakai spinning shall we? What are your goals?" her peircing blue eyes scanned around her small group almost as if trying to connect with their souls, "What are your advanced areas of combat? I need to know so that I may assist you in anyway possible before your Genin test tomorrow."
Yumi didn't mean to put the children on the spot, but best get things out in the open.

Goals, something he hadn;'t thought about in a long time. Takumi glanced over at the two girls, then at the dog my his side. Goals were not easy for him but he did know the answer tot the other question. "I advance in hand to hand combat." He would wait to hear the girl's goals before he said anything more. Just saying what he excleed in before anyoine else was a miracle.

Tsuru was mildly surprised at the boy's words, not thinking him one to speak first. He seemed the sort of person who likes to be enigmatic. She was like that too, it came by nature. Pausing, she listened.
After a short time, it seemed like it was her turn, so she spoke clearly and answered the question that had been directed at the three of them. "...I..." She hesistated, thinking. Tsai looked at her with his sharp eyes and settled himself a bit more. "...I specialize in ninjutsu. Genjutsu seems interesting as well, though." Tsuru turned her eyes away, looking into the cloudy depths of the sky. She thought that was sufficent for that particular question. Truly, she had not tried many genjutsu skills or moves, but she found them to be very useful, very useful indeed.
Goals though... needed no hesitation, nor pause of contemplation. She knew exactally how to answer this question, so she did.
"I want to be something that no one has ever seen before. That is my goal."
It was true. To be unique, set apart, different. That was the way she had always been, so it seemed fitting that it would be her goal. Still, she hoped that was enough. It surely seemed so.
She wondered, though, if it was possible to achieve it.
