Looks fine to me. As for the tree thing... she lives in the city, and her room is on the second floor. Would the roof be that far up? I guess it could, if it had to be. The hawk would be living in the city because since hawks are common like you said, some would be forced to scratch out a living side by side with humans, which would have it's risks... hence, the assumed death of the father bird?

I'm not sure if that satisifies the problems...hopefully. If it's not good enough I'm sure I can mess around with it until it does...and thank you. n_n
