Personality: Raven is, to say the least, blunt. She doesn't often speak up, or stand out, but when she does, she does it RIGHT the first time. To people she does not know, Raven appears indiffereant and, at times, cold. To her friends, which are few, she is the most loyal thing on the face of the earth. When given a mission, she makes sure she does it wel andl trys her hardest to meet all specifications. Some say she's clever and shrewed, yet others call her a cold-hearted monster. It depends on what side of the fence you're on. Raven gets the job done, but with as little fatality and injury as she possibly can.
Of course, then there is the side of her that almost NO ONE sees. The side of Raven that compells her to take walks far from the village, to admire the beauty of nature, to relax where she will not be judged. When no one is looking, she holds out her hand to feed the birds, extends her arm to pet the wolf cubs, and ultimately is one of the most gentle souls around. So which one is the act? Is she actually a hard ass? Or is this gentle girl the real Raven? The only people who would know is her parents, both of which are dead. This other side of Raven gives her eyes a soft look to them, and an even softer, gentler smile when the time calls for it. This side of Raven loves children, animals, and anything full of innocents worth protecting. One thing that stays the same is her resolve to protect everything that she hold dear, whether it be her friends, her team, her Sensei, her village, or even someone she doesn't know. If she deems them worth protecting, which to her everyone is, she would not go down without a fight in order to protect them. Sometimes, if you're lucky....you can hear her sing....
Past: When Raven was young, her parents were the leaders of the Tsukiyo Clan of Ninjas. They were an independant clan, a STRONG clan who believed in Justice. But somehow, along the way, her Father began going down the path of power instead of Justice. There was a fine line between the two, but her Father crossed it. He began fighting constantly with everyone in the clan about war and obtaining more powerful equipment. Being the only spawn of the two head of houses of Tsukiyo, great things were expected from Raven. She was trained from the age of 3, relentlessly and without mercy to become the strongest she possibly could. Thing was, when Raven was little...she was a gentle soul, a beliver in negotiations. She didn't like fighting, and everytime her Father started yelling, she hid underneath a bed or something. Sometimes she would cry, and then cry even more for being so weak as to cry. Finally, one day, her Father stepped over the line that a Father never should.
One day he was training Raven, and she couldn't get the one jutsu right, no matter how hard she tried. Raven was only about 7 at this time. She tried over and over again to get the Jutsu, her Father yelling at her constantly and without remorse. Finally, Raven snapped and yelled back at him. Her father promptly threw a Kunai at her. Raven was taken aback, unbeliving that her father would actually throw a Kunai at her. It made it it's mark on her right shoulder, pinning her to a tree as her father advanced on her, another Kunai in his hand. He ranted on about how DARE she raise her voice to him after all he did for her. Her Father raised the second Kunai, and Raven had nowhere to go now. Before her Father could land the Kunai in her heart, a different Kunai found it's home in his. As her father collapsed, Raven saw her mother behind him, her arm extended as if she had just thrown something.....Her mother had KILLED her FATHER in order to protect HER. Her mother removed the Kunai from Raven's shoulder and then began to sob and hug her, going on about how she should have done something earlier, about how she was such a bad mother. Her mother then took her and fled the clan, as turmoil had errupted between the members of the clan. Raven and her mother fled to Konoha to start a new life. The Tsukiyo clan eventually destroyed themselves in their disputes. Before Raven was to graduate, tragedy struck. Her mother, who had been out on a mission at the time, never came back. However, no reports of her being killed were reported...she just....dissapeared. Raven was heartbroken, though she didn't let it show in public. Ever since the incident with her father, Raven had become quiet, even somewhat cold. Her mother always loved her though, no matter her persona, and thats why her dissapearance struck her daughter so hard. Now, Raven has graduated and has been accepted into Konoha Team 2 with her teamates Tai and Raidon.
Vitals: Quarterstaff. Raven has a special attachment to her weapon of choice, the quarterstaff (Bostaff) It is a deep red colour, like the colour of cherrywood, and it is covered in bandages at each end.
Jutsus: Raven excells in fast-paced Taijutsu thanks to her fathers training, though she mainly uses Ninjutsu. Raven doesn't train her body day and night to be perfect at Taijutsu, but instead, she had a natural talent for it. She still does TRAIN in Taijutsu, but not to the extent as Rock Lee has done.
Jutsus Raven has:
1: Suitoru no Jutsu (Absorb Technique) – When Raven is close enough to an ally, she may place one hand on their forehead, and her other hand over their chest, and she can heal them. However, it’s not quite healing. It heals who Raven is using it on yes, but there is a catch. Instead of just healing the wound, Raven actually absorbs it into herself. An example: If Raven’s friend is stabbed in the shoulder, and Rave uses Suitoru no Jutsu, the stab wound will disappear from her friend but reappear on her in the exact location instead. That can be a problem, because if Raven uses it too much, it can kill her.
2: Souten no Jutsu (Charge Technique) – Raven can use this Chakra to help out her team mates in battle. Using this jutsu, Raven can transfer some of her chakra to a team member, thereby ‘Charging’ them. If she’s really desperate, she can channel her Chakra into two ‘Expressways’ and transfer to two different people at once. She has to be careful to keep some chakra for herself.
3: Nezame no Jutsu (Awaken Technique) – This is a revamp of her other jutsu…I had to make it a healing jutsu, so I came up with this. (XD) Raven can control a small breeze, or however big a breeze depending on the chakra used. The breeze, which contains some of her chakra, circles her and her team mates, boosting all sences including sight, smell, hearing, taste, and their time to take to react. Also, she can, if she really concentrates, choose who it effects so she does not accidentally help her opponents by mistake. Probably one of the only Jutsus that doesn’t negatively affect Raven.
Houtai no Jutsu (Bandage Technique): A jutsu that Raven developed all on her lonesome. The bandages on her wrists and quarterstaff as the main focus of this technique. Using her chakra, Raven may animate the bandages on her wrists and/or quarterstaff. Now that they have a life of their own, they float alongside her. Raven can then use these to reach out to opponents far away, grab objects, and grapple with enemies. However, when Raven uses this jutsu offensively, she needs to put more chakra into it. Using more chakra, she can transform the matter of the bandages, making them razor sharp. Now not only does the enemy have to watch out for her fists, feet, and quarterstaff, you now have these blade-like bandages to worry about.
Likes: Raven likes honesty, her friends, and a job well done. Since her early childhood, justice and honesty have been some of the biggest themes in her life.
Dislikes: Raven hates troublemakers with a passion. She belives they upset the balance that honesty brings. If you haven't noticed, Raven is a very noble girl. ^_^
