Weapon of choice:
Since he's a fan of close-range combat, Suoh prefers the use of claws or gloves.
Crush: None. Suoh has... issues when it comes to relationships with other people. (and yes I say "people" because I'm not limiting him to just women.)
Personality:
Brash, hotheaded, impetuous and brave. Suoh is a man who just can't get it in his head to think before acting. He has a short fuse when in comes to his temper and can easily be offended. It's as if he's always on the defense, just waiting for someone to tear him down with their insults. (Largely because of his father.) He's not the most studious of people and tends to spend his time outside training in physical aspects rather than mental. Suoh just has the urge to keep moving and tends to be rather restless. He's also a bit of an insomniac.
He's not respectful right off the bat, but once put in his place, Suoh learns to behave himself. He just sometimes doesn't like to be bossed around and can be considered a bit of a "loose canon".
Behind closed doors he can be a very sensitive guy (the name of his cat, as an example). He doesn't talk much about his feelings or past and keeps them bottled inside, which may explain his violent nature. The only person, if you could call it that, that he exposes his inner most thoughts to is his feline pal, Kohana.
He's a guy who always feels the need to prove his worth, but never really knows what it is that he wants from life.
As a side note; Though Suoh is on the same team as Seji, he feels an intense need to out do the other man at every turn. It's pretty much a one-sided rivalry.
History/Past:
(This is just preliminary stuff. Things will be edited and added as I see fit)
Suoh's father was a very successful merchant, but despite his success, Yukio was never a very happy man. He took to drinking to fill his spare time (he didn't have much to begin with) and was always out making business deals and the like. He wasn't an attentive father and never paid much attention to Suoh. Yukio felt that raising children was a woman's job.
Suoh's mother wasn't much better either. The woman would spend endless hours preening her hair and looking at her reflection in a mirror. She was a narcissist down to the very marrow of her bone. As a result, a maid the family had hired to make meals and clean raised Suoh. His father, wanting to get Suoh out of the house and to make something of his self, sent him to be schooled in the ways of the ninja.
It was during his first year at the academy that Suoh's sister was born. The young boy juggled studying with raising (along with the maid) his baby sister. As a result Suoh didn't fare as well as he should have in his studies, which usually had harsh consequences. While his mother was indifferent, his father would scold, and more often than not, hit Suoh to try to galvanize the boy into being a better student. Yukio would often insult Suoh, calling him all kinds of colorful names, and deeming him a "failure" and "disgrace to the family."
The years passed and Suoh managed to pass his initial courses, but his father was never pleased with him. The boy didn't mind that his father focused his rage on him, as long as it saved his little sister from such treatment. Suoh did the best he could for Miyoko, playing with her and comforting her when she was sad or lonely. The beaded hair on the right side of his face was, I suppose you could say, a "gift" from his younger sister. She had taken two of her biggest and most favorite beads and threaded them into Suoh's hair. She was so delighted that Suoh never had the heart to take them out.
One day when his father was especially drunk, they got into an argument about how Yukio believed that Suoh would bring dishonor to the family. After several angry words and insults, violence erupted. Yukio had grabbed Suoh by the collar of his shirt and pushed him back, banging him against a wall. Suoh had retaliated by pushing his father away, and in a moment of blinding anger and frustration; Suoh punched his father square in the face, breaking the older man's nose.
All hell broke loose after that. He'd never been more afraid of anyone in his life. Suoh escaped the fight relatively unscathed, and sported a few artificial injuries. The next day his father demanded he leave the household, to which Suoh readily abided. Miyoko was distraught but there was little she could do. As he packed a few meager belongings, Miyoko presented him with a gift; it was a small tabby kitten.
Suoh took the cat along with a laundry bag full of his stuff, and bid his sister and the maid farewell. The youth then shacked up with an older friend of his and did his best to stay away from his father.
