Name: Shizuka Amaya
Alias: Amaya
Meaning: Quiet Night Rain
Age: 13
Birthday: May 11th
Gender: Female
Village: Sand
Rank: Genin
Sensei: TBA
Teammates: TBA
Mother: Shizuka Kasumi {deceased }
Father: Shizuka Takashi {deceased }
Siblings: Only child
Personality: Amaya is a monstrous little angel. Though she may appear sweet and lovable, Amaya's real deal is that she loves causing trouble, taking risks, and doing all sorts of wild and dangerous things. Now, saying this, it does not mean she is boisterous at all. Amaya is actually very quiet, as the name "Shizuka" means, but if she gains your trust and classifies you as a friend, that's when hell breaks lose. Amaya knows exactly when to calm down and exactly when to stop talking/doing things, but does she pay attention to that? ... Not as often as she should =)
When Amaya isn't doing something dangerous or insane, she is pretty fun-loving and goofy. She has quite a temper, but she is really good at controlling it. Once you hit the limit line and keep going, though, she's not afraid to let it all out. :3
Little Important Notes:
Basically everything Amaya does has a purpose.
Amaya walks up stairs by jumping, normally 2 or 3 steps at a time. If Amaya is angry, she'll go up four steps at a time. If Amaya is sad, she'll simply walk up the stairs.
Amaya never twitches. No matter how gross or how weird or how startling, she doesn't twitch. If something of her does twitch, it's a sign.
Eye: She doesn't like you
Corner of her mouth when she's smiling: She doesn't want to be smiling right now.
Corner of her mouth when she isn't smiling: She thinks it's funny.
Leg: She wants to get moving.
More coming later :3
Past:
Amaya lived in the Rain country when she was little, with her mother, her father, and her uncle Harashi. They were a very wealthy family, and Amaya was grateful for everything she got from her parents. Amaya had many posessions, but her favorite of which was a choker-type necklace with a small diamond in it, given to her from her grandmother before she passed away. Her grandmother told her it was the most valuable thing in all the Rain country, and she was to keep it safe, but not to be extremely crazy over it. So Amaya did so - she wore it, but she was also very careful to make sure that she had it at all times.
When Amaya turned twelve, her father suddenly got sick and died within a week. But Amaya had no time to mourn. Two nights after her father died, a stranger appeared in the house and murdered her mother, taking all their posessions and money. He spared Amaya, saying that she was "nothing but a kid with weak bones and a weak heart" and she'd be no trouble to him.
Some people are just so wrong it's funny. Not funny to Amaya, though. In rage she shoved him into a table with a sharp edge, kicking him to the floor and pulling off the mask he was wearing, not expecting to see her loving uncle Harashi's face beneath it. Harashi grinned crookedly and lifted Amaya by the collar of her dress, holding her up to the ceiling while she struggled uselessly. After a moment he snorted and tossed her aside, deciding she was still no threat to him, and escaped out the window.
Amaya followed shortly after, but not before grabbing some kunais from her father's "secret" hiding place. The girl was torn by rage and agony, but decided her agony might cease a little if all the anger was let loose. Amaya chased him into a forest before Harashi stopped and turned around. He asked, "Do you really want to fight me? There isn't a chance you'll win." Amaya, however, leapt forward and threw a kunai, which he easily dodged. The girl wasn't going to be put off so easily, though, and so she kept on attacking, while Harashi appeared to be doing some sort of one-step dance, simply standing aside every time she aimed something at him. Occasionally, he would flick his hand out and send the girl sprawling to the dirt, but she would just stand back up again.
The moon was lowering in the sky when Harashi finally decided if he was going to move, he had to move now. Amaya had proven to be trouble enough, so as she ran forward to uselessly stab at him with a kunai for about the thirtieth time, Harashi grabbed her by the wrist and twisted her arm behind her, claiming he had little time and the less she struggled the easier it would be for her to die.
However, a pair of unsettling red eyes had been watching for a while. A lost twin-tailed fox had been straying on the outskirts of time, but because of his two tails people were reminded of the nine-tailed fox that had wrecked havoc on the ninja village in the Fire country they kept him at bay. The fox sprang from the forest and knocked Harashi away, growling and catching the girl as she fell out of consciousness. One tail wrapped around her protectively as he growled. Harashi grumbled in annoyance - how much harder could it get to kill her? He decided, then, that killing her was not important. All he wanted from the girl was her necklace.
Harashi rushed the fox, who sprang to meet him. The male simply knocked him away and took the necklace from Amaya, springing into the moonlit forest. The fox growled angrily, tensing to jump after him when he turned his head and peered at Amaya. The girl was slowly starting to wake up. As her large amber eyes opened, Amaya remained motionless. Before she blacked out she had seen a blur of fur that was all... had this fox saved her life?
As the animal approached slowly, Amaya knew he was trying to help her. She pulled her legs under her and sat on her heels, holding out her hand. "You saved my life... I ought to show you gratitiude..." the girl whispered. "But I have no more of that. You are Osamu, the law abider. My word is the law you abide to, understand that, Osa? You are both a tool and a pet now." The fox tentively sniffed her hand, and then withdrew, seeming to understand the commandments. Amaya smiled and lifted herself slowly to her feet, looking back at the house with the agony still pounding in her heart.
There was nothing more for her there, however, so she signaled to Osa to follow her and trotted away, aiming to move on to the neighboring country and become a ninja in the hidden village of sand. Amaya never did like the Rain country's ninja program. With Osamu she traveled on and passed the graduation test at age fourteen. She knew that revenge was useless, but she still trained as hard as she could and became a very strong kunoichi, praying that one day she would meet Harashi and kick his ass... not to avenge her parents, but just to show him he messed with the wrong family... his own.
Though Amaya hurt deeply on the inside, she kept that in her heart and went around as a pleasant, funny, and risky person, trying to get used to the feel of danger as she thought ninjas should.
Vitals: Her headband, her sweet little foxxie <3, her necklace
Likes: Taking risks, being a nuisance, suprising/startling people, foxes, canines in general
Dislikes: Cats, being bored, boring/stupid people, lazy people
Crush: None.
Appearance: Amaya stands at about five feet one inches, with very light reddish-pink hair. Her hair is about shoulder-length and is tucked behind her ears, all except for her bangs which are too short to be. They generally hang to the side, though occasionally a stray few strands will hang into her soft amber eyes. Amaya has a kimono-like outfit, pale reddish brown in color with light gold accents that reaches down to her mid-thigh. Instead of the usual tie that matches the outfit, however, Amaya uses her black genin headband. Cloth wraps around both her legs a from under her outfit to a bit past the knee, looking like bandaging a little bit. The same type of cloth-bangaging is around her elbows. She wears thin cloth-like pale dark-blue boots with very sturdy and hard black soles underneath them for support, and/or extra kick power :3
She has a beige weapons pouch on her right hip, and also four hidden pockets on her legs with kunais and throwing needles in two, and shuriken in the other two.
Jutsus: As a genin, she has yet to discover/create her own special jutsus. She is very fond of using shadow clones, however.
Fighting Style: Amaya is very elusive and has great stamina, thus she prefers to run and tire her oponnent out for a while. She has amazing precision and accuracy when throwing kunai knives and needles, but shuriken... notsomuch. She isn't very good with frisbee style things.
Preferred Weapons: Throwing needles and kunai, and her feet too. She can kick like a kangaroo.
