Personality: She always has her head in the clouds. Tsuru is a day dreamer. She likes to sit and thing, ponder, contemplate. She likes to read. She’s not very social, but only because she’s just always off in her own little world and doesn’t seem to really pay attention to others. Though, she tends to be very observant when she wants to. Her senses, while, not above average for the normal person, are very keen and sharp. Never the less, Tsuru is very laid back.
History:
Tsuru and her sister, Tayrin, were born fraternal twins. They became part of a relatively prosperous family, more or less middle class, but because their parents were travelers and ambassadors of sorts, the two girls did not get to see them much. Because of this, they have lived with their aunt for most of their lives and grew up together. They bicker and fight constantly, being more or less opposites, but they know the joys and sorrows of family life.
When they were 10, they were given their familiars and have enjoyed their avian friendship ever since. Tsuru received an osprey, whom she named Tsai. Tsai, being an osprey, loved fish to no end and often resorts to mooching from others. Though, he thinks of himself rather highly and does not do it often. He would rather protect his honor.
When she was very young, she suffered badly from asthma and was protected from all sorts of things that could incite an attack. It was argued whether she should have a familiar or not, or even be allowed outside, but, she was given one anyhow. Since then, she has had very few attacks and has been relieved to find that her asthma was becoming weaker. It acts up every now and then, but very rarely comes into play in her life.
Before she received her familiar, even with her asthma as evil as it was, she would often go and just relax benieth nature’s wings. When she was 7, Tsuru was out in the forest contemplating all sorts of different things that 7 year-olds don’t usually think about and had an encounter she would not soon forget. She was attacked by a large animal and was deeply wounded (but not before giving her attacker a run for his money). Fortunately, she was found by her aunt and a few other villagers before she could bleed out or die from organ failure. She was bandaged and taken care of for a few weeks before she got better, but she did get better. The animal that attacked her left deep scars on her back, two four-toed claw marks upon her wing bones that run parallel against each other down her body and end halfway down her back.
After that accident, she was kept inside for some time and was banned from the woods. Though, she often snuck out to be in them and sit amongst the trees. Only recently, after becoming a genin, has she been allowed to visit.
It is not known what happened to her during the periods where she was not allowed to leave her home. It is speculated that she red the entire library there or exparamented with forbidden jutsu or something like that. Her family and Clan has been very secretive about their personal affairs and has not mingled with the rest of the village about it. She, herself, is more of an enigma on the inside than anything. Even at her age, she has a great many secrets and knows the value of knowledge unspoken.
