Takumi sat in the training grounds, beads of sweat rolling off his frame. The large mutt dog lay next to him, head on his paws dozing slightly. Many different types of weapons lay scattered across the ground from the days training. He stood to examine his work. "Not bad." he mumbled to himself, picking up a kunai.
With a sigh he turned towards his dog, throwing the weapon in between the animal's paws. the dog didn't jump but merely glanced at the knife before picking it up in his jaws and resting his head back on his paws. the Genin sighed. "Lousy mutt," before sitting back down, glancing at the sky, then moving onto his back, arms out. His eyes stared at the clouds. "What to do next." The statement wasn;'t directed at anyone imparticular, just himself.

There was a loud shout, and a small framed, blonde-haired blur ran down into the training area. A serise of chattering sqeakes answered the shout, and a smaller, more animalistic shape zipped away from the first figure. It was in fact Adokenai Soyokaze, little Genin of the Kumo Village....and he had lost his ferret. The ferret in question, Dump, ran from his master as if demons were behind him.
"DUMP! GETBACKHERE!" Cried Ado, and Dump took a violent turn, right towards Takumi. Dump leaped nimbly over the resting ninja, but Ado was not as quick. His foot caught on Takumi's side, as he did not even SEE the ninja laying on the ground. With a strangled yelp, Adokenai was sent sailing over Takumi, the wind whistling in his ears. Ado flew far, and landed hard on his face, rolling a total of four times before coming to a stop. He moaned, and did not get up. Dump stopped running and, as if worried about his little master, scurried back towards him, sniffing his still form with a quivering nose.

Takumi was at first surprised at the other ninja, too surprised he didn't react fast enough. As Ado tripped over him he rolled over onto his stomach and glared at the other Genin. Sencing his master's displeasal grolwed and stood, the kunai still held in his powerful jaws. The creatures eyes traveled to the ferret, the growl got louder.
The ninja grolwed as he stood, dusting himself off and grabbing a bearby Kunai before finally moving towards the unmoving ninja. "what the hell is your problem?" he grolwed, trying to hold back the shout he knew was trying to weasel out of him. His fist clenched tightly around his weapon, holding it at his side in a nonthreatening way. His dog moved from his side and towards the other animal int he premesis

Adokenai slowy sat up, rubbing the back of his head. He appeared to be no older than nine...but he was younger than he looked. The child was actually 11 years old. He was adorable, a round face, light blonde hair that fell into soft amber eyes. Those amber eyes stared up at Takumi, wide as saucers.
"Gomen, Tanin-dono!" He said politely. His voice was high but soft, rather cute if he did say so himself. When he said Tanin, it meant 'Stranger' and the dono at the end conveyed deep respect. He was a very polite child, as Takumi might have noticed. "Are you hurt?! I didn't even see you...are you alright, Tanin-dono?!" He asked worridly, not even paying attention to his own health. His knee had struck one of the weapons laying around when he had fallen, and a small gash was now seeping blood slowly on his right knee, visible due to his only wearing shorts.

He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Cut the friggen act, man." truth was, he had a nice bruise where the genin'a foot had caught him. Takiumi, to put it shortly, was one person who did not want to get pissed off. The large canine padded over to the ferret, bending his head down to sniff at the creature.
Takumi squatted down and poked his knee. "You got blood on you." It wasn't his fault someone hurt themselves on weapons laying about. People needed to be more careful, at least, in his mind.

The look on Ado's face was one of such hurt, it would melt the hearts of even the toughest of bastards. Act? What act? He wasn't acting...what did Takumi mean? "I...?" It looked as if tears would well up in his eyes.
His thoughts were soon inturupted by the older boy's second comment. Blood? "Am I..?" He asked, staring at his knee in amazement. He swiped up some blood on his finger, and sniffed it curriously, much like a ferret would. His small pink tongue darted out and lapped up a little blood from his finger. Then, Ado wiped his finger on the ground to get the blood off.

with a sigh Takumi sat down a few feet from the younger boy. "what are you doing here anyway?" as the question was asked he didn't even bother to look at Ado. He picked up the closest weapons and held them close to his face, examineing them to see if any had been damaged.
His dog on the other hand abandoned the ferret and moved towards his master, setting down next to him as still as a stastue and as alert as a solider. Large ears flicked every now and then.

Ado blinked. What was he doing here? Wait a second...what WAS he doing here? He looked around for a second, as if trying to remember, trying to regain his bearings. Ado's face lit up.
"This guy!" He laughed, holding out his arm. Dump leapt and scuttled up the young child's arm and rested on his shoulder, his small nose forever twitching. Ado grinned and nuzzled the little Ferret's face with his cheek. "This guy high-tailed it outtah here when he heard I was gunna give him a bath!" He giggled. Dump chattered slightly. Ado's eyes fell on the large dog, and he smiled. "That's a really cute puppy you got there, Tanin-dono!" He said happily as he smiled.

"Puppy?" He turned his eyes to his dog. "This guy?" he pointed at the mutt who glanced at him. The dog rolled his eyes and grolwed slightly. "He's no puppy. More of an....old man I guess you could say. Chimera's two years old."
Takumi sighed. what did he think he was doing talking like this?! "And quit callin' me Tanin-dono. My name's Takumi." He dropped the weapons and lay back in the grass, eyes closed and a small frown on his face.

Ado's face fell. He didn't mean to anger the other. He was just trying to be friendly. Ado didn't have any friends, so he wasn't used to other people much. But when he got the chance, he made sure he was nice to them.
"Gomen, Takumi-dono. I hope I didn't offend you.." He said sincerely, still sitting on his bottom. The blood was slowly snaking its way down his bare leg. He didn't mind it though. Instead, his eyes were focused on Takumi.

He rolled over onto his side and waved a hand lazily at Ado. "Whatever." Socialization wasn't one of his strong points. Takumi wasn't one to go up to a complete and total stranger without reason and start a drtailed conversationa bout the weather or anything like that. His only true friend happened to be his dog and even then he couldn't talk back.

Ado was silent for only a moment before an idea struck him. They were in the training grounds...right? Had Takumi been training? That thought lingered in his mind for a while before finally desciding on something.
"Were you training, Takumi-dono? With Chimera-dono?" He added a respectful honourific to the end of Chimera's name as well, because he did not want to offend the big puppy. He himself had trained yesterday, and he was actually thinking about training today before the whole fiasco with Dump happened.

"So? what if i was?" he asked in a small agitated tone. Wasn't it pretty obvious? Traingin grounds and tons of weapons everywhere, him nearly out of breath? How much more ovbvious could it be that he was training? A big neon sign that says 'Here lyes someone who was training'?
Chimera flicked his ear towards Ado to show he heard his own name being called. But this 'big puppy' wouldn't move unless given the order or Takumi got up himself. Part of his military type training.

"I was...just wondering..." Ado squeaked, unsure if he had made the other mad. Takumi....he obviously didn't like Adokenai. Why didn't Takumi like him? Was he being TOO friendly? A sad expression crossed his face. It figured that, the first person he met, he would somehow drive away. He wasn't even sure HOW he had managed to get Takumi to hate him, as they had just met. But, Ado had found a way, and Takumi hated him.
Dump watched the scene curriously, his head turning to the side in an inquisitive mannor. He wasn't liking how his little master was being treated, and he chattered away angrily at Takumi for it. It may have been nonsencical to Takumi, but Ado's eyes widened, and he bopped Dump on the nose. "Don't say such rude things, Dump!"

Chimera's ears tiwtched again and his lips lifted in a slight growl. His paws worked the ground below him as he waited for the order to attack from his master. his eyes narrowed slightly as he glanced at the ferret.
Takumi's eyes danced with a small ammount of joy as he listen to the 'conversation' between Ado and Dump. It was truly amazing how he could be mean to someone yet that someone sticks up for him when his pet calls him names. It was a whole lot better than what he was used to. He blinked away the joy and let out a sigh. "Well now you know."
